TOMS.
I totally want either pair of these TOMS shoes. The best thing about them? If I buy them they will donate a pair of shoes to a child in need. They believe in one for one, you buy one they donate one. So check out their site next time you want a new pair of shoes (they have a bunch of different styles) and maybe that way you feel a little better about your purchase :)
MMm.
Yet another quick blog of fashion photos. I can't help it.. they not only inspire my wardrobe but they just plain make me happy. All photos from http://thesartorialist.blogspot.com/

BEAUTIFUL..
On a More Serious Note.
I was thinking this morning.. don't act so suprised.. and felt the need to blog about something important, therefore here are two quotes for your consideration:
"I would never rob your cradles to feed the dogs of war" Huey P Long
"Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are ruined." Patrick Henry (1736-1739)
Is war justified? Are we okay with giving up our sons and daughters to feed violent chaos that is war? My brother is in the marines and any mention of war pulls at my heartstrings. Could I be comfortable with a war knowing that my big brother is the one out there fighting it? That he is the one in the line of fire? It is always easier to agree to a war when it is fought by people you don't know. Sadly, those people mean nothing to most. But that in itself is awful. Every human life should matter to you. But then as Patrick Henry says, we have to preserve liberty. Freedom is not free. Brave people lay down their lives for a cause that they believe in. But is that how we should handle things in this world? I don't know. I'm torn. I wish everyone succumbed to reason. I wish Winston Churchill could have sat down with Adolf Hitler and told him that what he was doing was absolutely atrocious and monstrous, and Hitler would have listened. I mean Hitler was using the Jews as a scapegoat, and instilling fear to gain power, so if he had realized that power was less important than preserving human life and dignity, perhaps he would have stopped. I don't know. I could go on for days about how I am undecided in life's many questions.
Ohh Today.
It's only 9:32 am and I've already had three giggle outbursts, much to my embarrassment. It must be the exhaustion kicking in.. this pop-up book project for 3D Comp is really kicking my butt. Anyhow.. I recently wrote an essay for my English Comp class comparing my brother to my dog. My teacher realized what a comedic genius I am, (sarcasm-obviously, however I did chuckle a little to myself at some clever comments I had made), and he decided to read my essay aloud to the class, much to my dismay. Here's where the embarrassment comes in-- one portion of my essay detailed the sleeping habits of Mitch and Libs and I had forgotten that I had used the analogy "My brother's snores sound like a chainsaw in a parking garage" and I just lost it. I'm not sure why I find that so funny. No one else laughed. No one. It was great. Yes, anyways second moment was in that same class, (I'm almost certain everyone in it considers me to be mentally ill), my teacher was talking about fallacies and some how or another used and example that I had heard as "I took a lot of Vitamin C, then three days later my colon disappeared." I thought this was very funny and chuckled silently to myself, then realized when he repeated it he had said "cold" not "colon." Not nearly as obscure and refreshingly random as I had thought. My version would have proved his point better anyhow.
One thing that irked me though.. he kept saying "slippery slope" and that phrase creeps me out to no end. I just shuddered after typing it. Ick.
(I took that photo if you were wondering.)

Kitchens.
I am a sucker for cute kitchens. In my future home my kitchen will be the most amazing room in the whole house.
